Description
The image captures a suspended moment where reality fragments. The gaze gets lost in a play of complex reflections. The water becomes a distorting mirror. It merges the golden hues of the vegetation with the deep blue of the sky.
The composition plays on the superposition of planes. The textures mix. The contours fade to make way for a sense of fluidity.
The photographic technique transforms a landscape into a chromatic study. The contrast between the bright yellows and the azure shades creates a precise visual balance. This approach prioritizes sensory perception over literal representation.
The work explores the boundary between nature and human vision through a dreamlike prism. The final rendering is characterized by diffuse light and organic forms.
Presentation
Dominique Martelli is a photographer and author who has been living in the Lot for over a year, having previously lived in Périgueux and then in Hautefort. She currently contributes to the local daily newspaper, *La Dordogne Libre*, as a correspondent, writing various articles on a range of topics relating to local news.
Her sensitivity and open-mindedness have led her to express her views on the changing world through her lens and her writing, which reflect her unique personality and are evident in the perspective she brings to her photography.
She has published two locally produced books (ARKA) dedicated to nature in all the forms we know it today.
