"Photos of the road, the street, the fringe and its people"

This photographic montage captures the essence of urban fringes. Created in 2003, this work combines high-definition prints, ink, and paper. The gaze first falls on a young man from behind, backpack on, observing the horizon. This figure embodies solitude and wandering. 
The composition is structured like a visual logbook. Fragments of images intertwine. One discovers street scenes, raw architectures, and details of daily life. A dense collage occupies the left part, recalling the aesthetic of graffiti and détournement (repurposing). 
At the bottom, a close-up view of the asphalt draws attention. The word Love is inscribed there, contrasting with the harshness of the cracked ground. This opposition between tenderness and roughness defines the tension of the image. The approach is almost sociological. It documents subcultures and neglected spaces. The visual narrative navigates between calligraphic abstraction and documentary realism. The neutral tones emphasize the raw aspect of the street. The whole forms a fragmented archive of nomadic life, punctuated by black ink interventions.
