Description
Jean-Paul Baret's creations are part of the continuity of movements such as Constructivism, Neoplasticism or even the Bauhaus. Since 2010, he has been working mainly on “photographic images”. These are made from photographs of ephemeral paper sculptures, then reworked on a computer. And they are only printed at 7 copies each. We really like its minimalist and geometric universe. His creations are of rare elegance. Title: N ° 932 Year of creation: 2016 Technics: Inkjet printing Support: Hanhemulhe paper 308g Edition 2/7 (limited series of 7 copies) Signed, with certificate
Presentation
Jean-Paul Baret was born in 1952 in Grenoble. He lives and works in Viriville / France.
After studying interior architecture at the School of Decorative Arts in Geneva, he made ten group exhibitions and set up his interior architecture firm. In parallel he continues his work of creations in the continuity of movements such as those initiated by Constructivism, Neoplasticism, Bauhaus, De Stijl etc ...
About ten years follow, during which he pursues his two parallel activities. Since 2010, he has been working mainly on “photographic images”. These are made from photos of “ephemeral sculptures” in paper of different texture and then reworked on a computer.
This is a research work on the built from simple elements (white sculptures) that can be either modified by color, grain or smoothness, the addition of geometric figures, dimensions, sharpness or the blur ... either remained "raw and minimalist".
