Description
Photograph + Digital art, Snowdrift conquest series.
Konstantin Kornakov undertakes research around photographic limits through the question of scale. By means of close-up shots and with a certain angle of view, the artist will create mountain landscapes on which men will evolve. These are actually piles of snow that become, under the eye of the artist, huge snowy peaks. These shots reflect the materiality of these elements and their ability to be vectors of imagination, artistic projection capable of metamorphosing and growing a fragment of the real.
With photography, this artist manages to use this "effective look" on reality, while inserting the point of view of a painter, thus highlighting the capabilities offered by photographic precision.

Presentation
Painter and designer, Konstantin Kornakov is also a photographer. His images have the particularity that even if he photographs elements he sees and finds in the street, they represent neither people, nor objects, nor real landscapes.
He uses his device less as a means of recording reality than as an instrument of vision. Because what he photographs are visions first of all. He need indeed have had some kind of visual revelation to be able, then, to press the shutter.
His motives are fragments of urban landscapes, non-identifiable corners with no importance for "where", but with its plastic quality, the visual event, the fact of appearance of an element of beauty in the cacophony of the world.
Artist lives and works in Moscow.
