Konstantin Kornakov reinterprets the Tarot cards by incorporating his unique visual universe, populated by recurring characters from his work. This project blends the traditional iconography of the Tarot with contemporary and urban elements, giving birth to an original visual language.
The Sun (XIX)
The Sun is a card of happiness, clarity, and success. It represents the light that illuminates everything, dispelling doubts and shadows. Two children play under the radiant sun, symbolizing joy, innocence, and abundance. It is a card of positive energy, announcing a period of success and fulfillment.
Symbolism : Light, happiness, clarity. The Sun is the card of success, vitality, and personal fulfillment.
Interpretation : The Sun announces a time of clarity, happiness, and success. It invites one to enjoy this period of light and peace. Reversed, it can signal delayed happiness or a lack of self-confidence.
Presentation
Painter and designer, Konstantin Kornakov is also a photographer. His images have the particularity that even if he photographs elements he sees and finds in the street, they represent neither people, nor objects, nor real landscapes.
He uses his device less as a means of recording reality than as an instrument of vision. Because what he photographs are visions first of all. He need indeed have had some kind of visual revelation to be able, then, to press the shutter.
His motives are fragments of urban landscapes, non-identifiable corners with no importance for "where", but with its plastic quality, the visual event, the fact of appearance of an element of beauty in the cacophony of the world.
Artist lives and works in Moscow.
