About the artwork
Artwork sold in perfect condition
Serge Hamad is a French/Algerian self
taught visual artist based in New York.
The artist started photography at a very
young age covering conflict-zones and informing about sociopolitical situations
like in Iraq, Balkan…
“An artwork is successful when once injected
into the communication channels it manages to awake a dialog.” Says the artist.
Serge Hamad also makes room in his
oeuvre for more light-hearted fare. Turning an expressive realistic image into
abstraction, he shifts colors and blurs them into reality between photography
and digital rendering in his Temporal Perception series. When seen for the
first time at a glimpse, the artworks seem to form an entity. “It’s just when
our brain starts to analyze our vision that we understand how we lost our
childhood.” Says the artist.
In 2010, Serge Hamad dedicated his time
mainly to Fine Art photography. Since then, his work has been exhibited at
several galleries in the US as well as internationally and auctioned at Paddle
8, Artsy, Christie’s London, Sotheby’s House, and the Robert Wilson’s Water
Mill Foundation.
