Description
This artwork captures the ethereal delicacy of blossoming sakura in what appears to be a fluid, almost aqueous environment. The soft, blush-pink petals are suspended in a wash of gentle whites, creating an impression of weightlessness and transient beauty. The texture is light and feathery, evoking a sense of serene elegance. The use of muted tones and soft focus imbues the piece with a dreamy, meditative quality, inviting viewers to reflect on the fleeting nature of beauty and life.
The composition’s minimalism is striking, allowing each petal to stand out, emphasizing their fragile allure. This evocative work masterfully blends subtle hues and textures, leaving a lasting impression of quiet sophistication.
Presentation
Raquel Pellicano uses multiple and long exposures, collage and found objects to work with themes related to time, collective memory and other questions inherent to photography's philosophy and photographic languages.
She is a photographer and visual artist, with authoral and commercial production, using photography experiments as a support. Pink and black and white palettes are recurrent in her productions with strong impressionism influences.
