Discover the delicate world of Sophie Griotto with this scene inspired by an enchanted interlude at Lake Cazaux, one of the great Landes lakes bordering the Aquitaine coast. Under the soft light of a late afternoon, the artist captures the simple and magical moment of vacation, between unspoiled nature and the art of living. Settled by the lake, a young woman prepares a coffee near her converted van, evoking an ecological and minimalist lifestyle. The majestic pines, the reflections of the water, and the softness of the scene pay homage to this unique natural setting. This work, imbued with poetry, perfectly illustrates the balance between escape, respect for the environment, and suspended moments, so dear to Sophie Griotto's work.
Presentation
Sophie Griotto was born in 1975 in Alès. She studied applied arts in Nîmes and then in Toulouse before moving to Paris where she worked for a large advertising agency. In 1988, she started working as a freelancer, as a storyboarder, which led her to make films for prestigious houses such as Dior or Jean-Paul Gaultier. She then decided to turn to illustration in 2003.
Her illustrations are inspired by the world of fashion, the world of media, the world of childhood and poetry. Women play a main role in her creations, she is represented in all her modernity.
Sophie Griotto uses a lot of fabric, which allows her to highlight the colors and patterns.
In 2014, Sophie Griotto was entrusted with the decoration of a Parisian hotel located at the rue de la Paix.
The illustrator is part of the art book "100 Illustrators" as well as in "Illustration now, Fashion" by Taschen.
