Description
This artwork is a striking fusion of abstract forms and vibrant colors set against a captivating checkered background. Dominating the composition is a large, iridescent shape reminiscent of a distorted sphere, inviting viewers to explore its vivid gradients. A whimsical pinwheel with multicolored blades appears suspended in space, adding an element of playful motion. A bold, black line structure weaves through the piece, grounding the dynamic elements while creating tension and contrast. A red ribbon-like form drapes delicately near the bottom, introducing a hint of fluidity. Geometric shapes in various hues are scattered strategically, contributing to the artwork's eclectic rhythm. The subtle use of shadow and light enhances depth, encouraging a deeper engagement with the piece. This work captures the essence of modern abstract art, challenging perceptions and stimulating imagination through its innovative design.
Presentation
Rusa Tavartkiladze is a female Georgian artist born in 1990 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her practice moves along the edge of modernism and its afterlives. Her own artworks push beyond formalism, rooted in modernist foundations. They expand toward humor, philosophy, sarcasm, and mysticism. Each piece becomes a space where rational structures meet ambiguity, where order dissolves into play, and where meaning flickers between irony and transcendence.
