Description
This artwork presents a striking composition of geometric abstraction, dominated by angular forms that intersect dynamically across a muted blue background. The bold use of color is immediately captivating: vibrant orange and cyan slices are juxtaposed against stark black and white, creating a sense of movement and tension. Thin, deliberate lines crisscross the canvas, adding layers of complexity and drawing the viewer's eye across the piece. The sharp angles and precise lines evoke a sense of architectural precision, suggesting both chaos and harmony. This meticulous balance of color and form results in a contemporary work that is both intellectually engaging and visually stimulating. The artwork's abstraction challenges viewers to interpret its meaning, inviting prolonged contemplation and discussion. The harmonious interplay of colors and shapes makes it a compelling study in modern artistic expression.
Presentation
Rusa Tavartkiladze is a female Georgian artist born in 1990 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her practice moves along the edge of modernism and its afterlives. Her own artworks push beyond formalism, rooted in modernist foundations. They expand toward humor, philosophy, sarcasm, and mysticism. Each piece becomes a space where rational structures meet ambiguity, where order dissolves into play, and where meaning flickers between irony and transcendence.
