Description
The artwork “Frantumi" by Danilo Pistone, known as NEVE, presents itself as an intense and unsettling portrait in which a female face emerges through a fragmented surface, as if seen through a shattered mirror. The cracks that run across the image are not merely visual elements, but become an integral part of the narrative, multiplying the gaze and suggesting a reflection on identity, perception, and the fragility of being. The highly realistic and detail-oriented rendering contrasts with the decomposition of the image, creating a constant tension between unity and fragmentation, presence and dissolution.
“Frantumi" is produced as a Fine Art print on Hahnemühle 300g/m² 100% cotton paper, in the format 35x50 cm, in a limited edition of 10 signed and numbered copies.
Through a direct yet deeply symbolic visual language, NEVE creates an image that challenges the perception of reality, inviting the viewer to engage with a complex and layered inner dimension.
Presentation
Danilo Pistone, known as Neve, is an Italian visual artist whose work blends drawing, muralism, and installation. His practice is characterized by intricate black-and-white compositions, where organic forms, symbolic elements, and fragmented anatomies intertwine in dense and immersive narratives. Rooted in a strong graphic approach, his work explores themes such as identity, memory, and transformation, often creating dreamlike and introspective worlds. Moving between large-scale walls and studio works, Neve develops a distinctive visual language that invites the viewer into complex, layered storytelling. He has taken part in various urban art projects and exhibitions in Italy and internationally.
