Verónica Arellano

Eclectic and multidisciplinary artist from Menorca.
The body, in its broadest sense, is the driving force behind her artistic search and development. From various perspectives, she seeks a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer, inviting reflection. Her work addresses both social and intimate aspects of womanhood, human attitudes and events, and the marks they leave behind—marks that should be questioned. These are recorded signs that remain after what has occurred, offering evidence of a CONTINUOUS PRESENT which, through the wear of time, use and disuse, act as clues that tell lived stories…

She earned her degree, two postgraduate diplomas in Descriptive Geometry, and a PhD from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona with the thesis , where she was selected by Àlex Mitrani to be promoted as an emerging artist of her graduating class. She participated in an Erasmus exchange at the Faculty of Bologna. She received a European “Artogether" grant from , which included a two-month residency in Istanbul and a traveling exhibition across Europe. She has held around twelve solo exhibitions in Printmaking, Painting, and Drawing, and has participated in group shows in various countries.
