Description
A horizontal rain of colored lines, orange, red, blue, magenta, yellow, that stripe the composition like a live signal, a data stream or a saturated color bandwidth. Organized in several bands arranged on the sheet like a score, the work alternates dense areas and airy areas, until gradually fading into a softer gradient towards the bottom. The title, both anecdotal and evocative, anchors this pure abstraction in a precise memory, a dated and time-stamped instant.
This piece illustrates how hester translates a lived experience, a place, a moment, an emotion, into the pure language of color and light. The screen printing process, through the fineness and repetition of its lines, reproduces with an almost photographic precision the sensation of speed and chromatic vibration that traverses the work, between visual code and abstract landscape.
