Description

Red Benches at the PAMM 07.06.2014_3:30:42PM is part of the research conducted by hester around perception, architecture, and visual memory. Starting from a photograph taken at the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the artist transforms a precise moment into an abstract composition where space seems to dissolve in favor of movement, light, and color. Each line translates the decomposition of a real scene and reveals a new way of apprehending the built environment.

Trained in electrical engineering, architecture, and art history, hester develops a unique visual language that goes beyond documentary photography. Her work questions the way we look at the spaces we traverse daily and invites the viewer to slow down their gaze to discover structures invisible to the eye. Her most recent series continue this reflection by deliberately blurring the boundaries between photography, abstraction, and images generated by movement.

In this screenprint, a delicate palette of whites, blues, violets, and reds composes a subtle balance between graphic tension and lightness. The horizontal lines seem to suspend time while the colored vibrations evoke the trace left by a displacement, as if the architecture retained the memory of the flows that animate it. The title, incorporating the exact date and time of the shot, anchors this work in a real moment while giving it a universal dimension.

Edited in limited edition, this screenprint highlights the richness of chromatic superimpositions and the precision of the printing gesture. It is an ideal work for contemporary art collectors sensitive to the dialogues between photography, geometric abstraction, architecture, and kinetic art.

Presented by AR Gallery, Red Benches at the PAMM 07.06.2014_3:30:42PM perfectly illustrates hester's approach, which transforms the observation of urban space into a contemplative experience where science, perception, and emotion meet. Exhibited on an international scale, the artist pursues research recognized for her ability to renew our view of contemporary architecture and the invisible traces that make up our environment.

Presentation

Known for combining artistic vision with technical precision, Hester transforms urban structures into doors of reflection. With a background in electrical engineering, architecture, and art history, her photographs go beyond superficial aesthetics and invite viewers to question our perception and occupation of space.

From Concrete Perspective (2012) to Architecture Éphémérè (2024), Hester's work consistently redefines the dialogue between art, science, and emotion. Exhibited internationally, from Art Wynwood and Pinta Miami to the Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles, including recent exhibitions in Sweden and France, her practice presents itself as a bold exploration of perception and memory.
