Pablo Picasso is most famous for his paintings, however, the past decade has seen a clear growth in the market for his prints. In the early 20th century, artists began producing their art prints in limited editions, so that each individual work would retain its value over time. He produced some 2,400 prints in his lifetime, in a wide variety of techniques, most notably etching, lithography and linocut.
