Description
The artist, confined like everyone else for a year, began to dream of a Noah's ark where all the surviving animals of the world would be there to subsist. This gives a lush jungle with for support a Japanese screen or roars a ferocious tiger, but also full of very green foliage, flowers of all colors and all countries, a unicorn walking by there, bunches of juicy grapes, a plush tiger, a blue dolphin, some super heroes, two porcelain tinkerbell to bring luck to this raft of survivors, that is to say us! The set is strung with bicycle tensioners and illuminated with LED lamps.
Presentation
The thousand and one fantasies of Martine Degot
Painting, singing, dreaming....here is a complete artist who likes to mix genres and marry arts! Writing, then theater, directing and finally painting and collage ... Martine Degot transforms the banal, cultivates the extra-ordinary in everything she does;
Thus she creates unique paintings, poems in 3 dimensions, from objects found during her walks and encounters: candy wrappers, boxing gloves, bicycle stretchers, old toys .... a moving way to give them a new life, to awaken our childish soul and to play with memories.
Often, Martine Degot's paintings are inspired by her songs, the artist managing to find melodies everywhere with a deep sense of poetry.
Her works transfigure the mundane into compositions full of her incredible energy and love of life.
Martine Degot creates and recreates for us small worlds that wake us up and remind us how wonderful the daily life can be...
