Description
The Undrinkable Can is a satirical art project aimed at highlighting the environmental disaster and alarming health problems caused by the Coca-Cola Company.
The concept: a limited edition of 1,500 tailor-made cans, redesigned in a satirical manner, filled with Coca-Cola and permanently sealed, therefore impossible to open. Each can is sold with its numbered display box and 39 g of sugar, the exact quantity found in a standard can of Coke.
At the end of the sale, 100% of the profits from “The Undrinkable Can" will be invested in a short sale against Coca Cola shares on Nasdaq.
The pricing mechanism:
First come, first served! Each can comes with its own uniquely numbered display case. The first can was sold for $1, the second can for $2, the third for $3, and so on... The price you pay is your can number.
Art has always been difficult to evaluate. What if, for once, it was the market itself that determined the value of a piece?
Presentation
Playing with consumerism, technology, culture, social constructs, fashion and capitalism, QSTNMRK? is an anonymous collective of artists who speak out to challenge the state of the modern human experience.
