Description
Work presented as part of the SOMEBODY exhibition in Paris in April 2024.
Presentation
In the chaos of raw matter, a face, a body, a shape appear (…) The reference does not matter. What matters is the libidinal energy, the fascination it generates. His metamorphosed works in no way uproot the material taken. They even seem to have existed as they were before the artist's handprint. Faced with the work of Quat'sous, the questions remain of great poetic force. “The dreamy evocation has always inspired me more than the classic precision of the motif. Modesty in the representation of people more than the anatomy of bodies (…) Bringing forth the evocation of the living from collected dead wood. »
