Description
This oak sculpture by Szendy Stephane is distinguished by its slender, minimalist forms, representing the harmonious embrace of two human figures. The fluid, smooth lines accentuate the sensuality of the work, while the red color of love provides a glossy finish, revealing the wood's natural richness. The figures, devoid of facial details, emanate a universality that symbolizes human unity and interconnectedness. The understated black base highlights the piece's verticality and elegance. The central void, created by the legs, adds a dimension of lightness and balance. This work embodies the essence of love and intimacy, while emphasizing beauty in simplicity.
Presentation
Stéphane Szendy, the art of sublimated matter.
Contemporary sculptor, Stéphane Szendy shapes wood, bronze, resin, glass and enamel with a mastery worthy of a jeweler. Drawing his inspiration from nature and the history of art, he creates stylized works with clean lines, evoking totems or timeless trophies. Each sculpture is distinguished by a subtle play of textures and patinas, giving a unique depth to his creations.
Trained in Fine Arts and heir to family know-how, Szendy Stéphane cultivates an extreme attention to detail, even to the bases of his works. His work, marked by a rigor and a rare artistic sensitivity, transcends the material to arouse emotion and contemplation. Since 2000, he has exhibited in numerous fairs and participates each year in Maison & Objet. Distinguished by the Arts-Sciences-Lettres medal in 2011, he has been a member of the Ateliers d'Art de France since 2006.
