In Chinese pictorial art there are several genres, one of which is major: “mountain and water". It evokes the literary and pictorial landscape, it is a search for harmony between fullness and emptiness.
The latter is usually represented by clouds.
Here I worked on the interaction between the clouds (Empty) and the mountains (Full).
My clouds are abstract, moving and impermanent.
They can be water, mist, rain, or dust...
Inspired by erosion, particles, wind and humidity shape them, go around them, until they trace a new silhouette. My clouds therefore become the memory of time passed.
The cloud illustrates the network of vital breaths, which circulate around my mountains, mathematical and repetitive elements, in search of “perfect" beauty.
