Description
This artwork strikingly represents a paint tube, standing with a harmonious fluidity.
The partially squeezed tube releases a dense, black substance that spreads at its base, evoking the creative process in its purest form. The choice of monochromatic and dark colors captures attention and invites introspective contemplation.
The metallic surface of the tube subtly reflects light, adding a dynamic and contrasting dimension. Silver reflections and deep shadows create a captivating play of light, making the tube seem almost alive, vibrating with silent energy. The work emphasizes the simplicity and beauty of everyday objects, while elevating them to an almost sculptural status.
This realistic depiction encourages the viewer to reconsider the banality of artistic materials, transforming a simple paint tube into a deeply expressive piece. The artist succeeds in capturing the very essence of artistic potential, the idea that art begins even before the brush touches the canvas. It’s an invitation to reflect on the origin of artistic creation and the magic that emerges from something as simple as squeezing a paint tube.
Presentation
In each sculpture, Sagrasse places a fragment of humanity, an emotion kneaded into the material, like a breath that crosses time.
Born in 1966 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy, Sagrasse has dedicated his life to sculpture for over thirty years. Driven by a constant passion for material and form, he has developed an artistic language that is both contemporary and profoundly human.
His works are exhibited throughout the world, in galleries, private exhibitions, and spaces dedicated to art. This international career reflects a recognition acquired over time, driven by the sincerity and strength of his work.
Sagrasse's creations address contemporary and universal themes : ecology, social ideologies, and the relationship between man and his environment. His sculpture thus becomes a space for reflection, where consciousness and aesthetics, questioning and emotion intertwine.
