Description
This captivating sculpture is distinguished by its sinuous form and vibrant patterns. The work's undulations evoke a fluid, almost organic movement, while the bright color palette immediately catches the eye. The multi-colored streaks, alternating between pastel tones and more saturated shades, create a hypnotic visual effect reminiscent of geological formations or mineral strata. The contrast between the curved elements and the linear patterns underlines the internal dynamics of the piece. This bold and expressive work embodies a harmonious fusion of form and color, promising an immersive and unforgettable aesthetic experience. The concave and convex forms reveal a movement of matter, a desire to form another work that is rounder, more welded. This leads us to reflect on our vision of the world. A purer, more cheerful and more united world.
This sculpture is made without paint, the colors are those of the paper.
Work signed at the top back.
Matte varnish finish.
Sanded paper technique: superposition of colored papers glued together then sanded and varnished.
Presentation
Fabrice Lettron is a French self-self-taugh artist born in 1965 who lives & works in Montargis, France. He practices the technique of sculpted paper. It consists in gluing several thousands of small pieces of coloured paper manually, then compressing them and once dry, they are sculpted or machined. There is no painting. Colours are those from the paper. Fabrice Lettron creates surrealist and abstract works in 3 dimensions. The virtues of paper leave infinite possibilities to his imagination.
