Description
This bold and colorful sculpture is a masterpiece of geometric juxtaposition. Composed of varied, superimposed forms, it is distinguished by the dynamic use of multicolored lines that precisely follow each contour. The sinuous, curved base, supporting a central rhombus, is surmounted by an intriguingly perched rectangular shape. Each segment is adorned with vibrant stripes that seem to dance around the volumes, creating a captivating visual rhythm. The harmony of colors is both vivid and balanced, adding a playful dimension to the work. Mounted on a pedestal, the contrast between the simplicity of its support and the complexity of its forms reinforces its unique character. A work that defies gravity and stimulates the imagination, inviting the viewer to explore its fascinating structure and chromatic brilliance.
Matte varnish finish.
Sculpted paper technique: layering of multicolored paper sheets glued, compressed and then sculpted.
Presentation
Fabrice Lettron is a French self-self-taugh artist born in 1965 who lives & works in Montargis, France. He practices the technique of sculpted paper. It consists in gluing several thousands of small pieces of coloured paper manually, then compressing them and once dry, they are sculpted or machined. There is no painting. Colours are those from the paper. Fabrice Lettron creates surrealist and abstract works in 3 dimensions. The virtues of paper leave infinite possibilities to his imagination.
