Description
This captivating work, reminiscent of a magical geode, is a masterpiece of color and texture. Created with steel, stone (Jesmonite), bronze, resin, waxes, acrylics, and crystals, a deep blue unfolds at its center, punctuated by delicate red patterns, creating a striking contrast. The precisely sculpted contours of the piece feature organic shapes reminiscent of the crystalline structure of a gemstone. The use of metallic hues around the work adds a dimension of mystery and depth, transforming this creation into a fascinating visual exploration. Each element seems to vibrate with energy, making this piece more than just an artistic representation: it is an invitation to delve into a universe rich in imagination and innovation. The harmony between intense colors and natural forms leaves a lasting impression, capturing the essence of nature's raw and complex beauty.
Presentation
Virginie DEVIN's work intrinsically links natural materials such as bronze, cracked clay, stone, and steel, recreating life through contrasting harmonies.
The characteristic scars that streak the silhouettes of the marine works refer to the individual history of each person: to the stories engraved in the flesh, shaping the profiles with smooth lines and sheared details.
An artist and explorer of the elements, her passion and inspiration come from the ocean, both a source and a universal focal point. Recognized for the uniqueness of her work, the press has covered many of her events. She is also the founding president of the Terre de Vrai association, which educates children about the environment.
