Description
Gale Force is a commanding falcon sculpture by Roberto Vaccaro, meticulously handcrafted from golf clubs and brass. With bold precision, the artist captures the raptor's aerodynamic form, piercing gaze, and dynamic energy — as if suspended in mid-flight.
Each element — from the curves of the clubs to the warm sheen of brass — is artfully arranged to echo the falcon's natural contours, creating a striking interplay of motion and stillness. The polished metal contrasts elegantly with the sculpture's wooden base, lending balance and sophistication.
A one-of-a-kind creation, exemplifies Vaccaro's signature style: transforming familiar materials into timeless works of art. Powerful and poised, it stands as a symbol of focus, freedom, and sculptural mastery.
Presentation
Roberto Vaccaro
born in 1991, is a South African metal sculptor who began his career in 2009. Inspired by the Garden Route's nature, he transforms discarded metal into striking sculptures, blending nature and humanity.
Mentored by his grandfather, sculptor Vincenzo Vaccaro, and influenced by his father, Dr. Vittorio Vaccaro, Roberto honed his skills. In 2013, he earned a scholarship to the University of Cape Town's Michaelis Fine Arts School.
Specializing in wildlife his works strength and scale reflect the commitment to sustainability. His sculptures push the boundaries of metal art, merging waste and wildlife.
