Liza Altman

Liza Altman is a contemporary artist based in Miami whose practice merges textured abstraction, sculptural relief, and psychological inquiry. Originally from Central Asia, she brings a cross-cultural sensitivity to her art, shaped by her academic background in psychology and pedagogy. This foundation informs her exploration of the subconscious, emotional memory, and the invisible forces that shape human experience.

Working with oil, mixed media, and experimental textural techniques, Altman creates immersive surfaces that function as “portals" — spaces of internal resonance where viewers encounter intuition, shadow, and transformation. Her abstract portraits and symbolic compositions bridge ancient ritualistic knowledge with contemporary spiritual aesthetics, making each artwork feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Altman's practice stands at the intersection of art, ritual, and inner work. Her tactility-rich layers evoke geological strata, psychic imprints, and emotional archaeology, inviting viewers not just to observe but to through the body. These works act as energetic anchors — objects capable of shifting inner states, grounding, and awakening self-awareness.

She exhibits internationally, with recent presentations during Art Basel Week in Miami, at Red Dot Gallery, and in online exhibitions through galleries in Venice and Switzerland. Her work is collected by individuals seeking emotionally charged, visually powerful art that transcends decoration and becomes a meaningful point of connection with the self.

Liza Altman continues to develop her multidisciplinary practice in Miami, creating pieces that serve as catalysts for personal introspection, empowerment, and spiritual renewal.
