Description
“Dancing in harmony with the Universe, aiming for the Moon, failing that, touching the stars or embracing the sun, finding one's balance while remaining firmly grounded on earth, even on tiptoe…"
This small bronze sculpture, cast in direct wax, is inspired by a joyful melody by Charles Trenet, undoubtedly a distant memory… Sketches emerge from my daydreams; in the studio, I shape the wax which the foundryman will then transform for me. From the raw work, I perform the chasing, polishing, and patination, and the metalworker, remaining faithful to my vision, guarantees the final appearance exactly as I had imagined it.
Presentation
Originally from Île‑de‑France, MarielauTerre — the pseudonym of Marie‑Laurence Codini — lives and creates on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, where she has drawn constant inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty since 2005.
Coming from a family of Franco‑Italian artists, the Codini, she chose modeling as her preferred means of expression. She explores clay, bronze, glass paste, and crystal, sometimes combining them within a single piece to enrich both material and light.
Since 2020, MarielauTerre has been a listed artist, and her commitment is also reflected in regular donations to charitable organizations made through her sales.
