Description
The Lyon artist revisits childhood with a contemporary gaze. This resin sculpture transforms the reassuring image of the Teddy bear into a support for social reflection.
The Pop Art style is expressed here through a dense visual collage. Logos of fashion houses and symbols of luxury cover the silhouette.
The contrast is marked. The softness of the childlike form clashes with the coldness of consumer codes. The artist plays on this duality to question our relationship with appearances and social status.
The monochrome treatment, punctuated by touches of sober colors, reinforces the graphic aspect of the piece. Every detail, from the gaze hidden behind black sunglasses to the seated posture, emphasizes a certain urban melancholy.
This 2025 creation is part of an approach where art becomes a mirror of our time. The work on the material offers a smooth and glossy finish, typical of current design objects. The whole rests on a precise balance between innocence and cultural critique.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
