Description
This resin teddy embodies a bold fusion between childhood and luxury codes. The black and white houndstooth pattern structures the silhouette, bringing a graphic rigor to the object.
The artist superimposes heterogeneous visual fragments on the bear's body. A pink flamingo brings a touch of vivid color, contrasting with the figure of a skull that emerges on the face.
The work is in the lineage of Pop Art and Street Art. The use of references to fashion and prestigious brands questions our relationship with consumption.
The contrast between the softness of the form and the hardness of the symbols creates a visual tension. This sculpture plays on paradoxes, mixing innocence and social critique.
The precise execution of the resin allows for a smooth and glossy finish. The details are applied with care, transforming the classic toy into an object of contemporary reflection.
The work is distinguished by its hybrid approach, where urban graphic design meets the elegance of salons. The whole rests on a balance between geometric patterns and figurative compositions.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
