Description
This sculpture explores the fragile balance between matter and void. The dark metal stretches into geometric shapes, evoking the span of a creature or the deployment of a wing. The aluminum structure seems to float, defying gravity through a play of precise tensions.
The whole rests on a natural wood base. This contrast between the organic warmth of the support and the cold rigor of the metal highlights a conceptual search for stability. The movement is frozen here, but suggests a permanent oscillation, like that of a tightrope walker in full effort.
Each angle is thought out to capture the light and alter the perception of the object according to the viewpoint. The piece combines architectural precision and visual poetry. The assembly thus marries turned wood and black aluminum.
Presentation
A small world, perched high, hanging by a thread for a time...suspended. A game of chance between air and light, where movement and balance combine in poetic and changing evocations.
Also a painter, designer, and architecture enthusiast, Max-Léo draws his inspiration from his preferred worlds, such as circus arts, the city, living things and natural elements as so many pretexts for emotion and contemplation.
