Description
This figurative sculpture reimagines the aquatic form through a lens of industrial precision. The artist blends organic inspiration with rigid materials. Wood and iron converge to create a stylized fish suspended in space. A slender metal rod elevates the figure. This creates a surprising sense of weightlessness.
The body is divided into geometric sections. A visible gap separates the torso from the tail. This fragmentation adds a contemporary rhythm to the composition. The surface features a textured, cracked pattern reminiscent of ancient ceramics or weathered stone. Its monochromatic grey palette emphasizes volume and shadow.
Created in 2020, the artwork reflects a background in interior architecture. Every line is deliberate. The contrast between the heavy base and the floating subject invites contemplation on balance. The piece sits on a minimalist black plinth. This structural choice anchors the whimsical subject in a formal gallery context. The final result is a refined exploration of animal form rendered in cold, hard materials.
