Description
The art of porcelain unfolds here in a delicate exploration of the seabed or an organic form discovered in nature. The structure evokes the organic morphology of an anemone or a coral. The work on the material plays with transparency and density. Light passes through the thin wall to diffuse a soft and warm glow.
The contrast between the fluid curves and the textured top creates a harmonious visual balance. Each fold captures shadow and clarity with precision. The enameled porcelain brings a luminous depth that transforms the object into a source of ethereal clarity.
This luminous sculpture celebrates the geometric beauty of nature. The entirely manual shaping emphasizes a rigorous artisanal approach. The whole exudes a sense of serenity and lightness. The top features a "foam" or "lace" of porcelain that contrasts with the rounded volume of the base and allows light to pass through in the evening. This light is provided by a string of leds (2 LR6 batteries) placed inside (box included) which allows you to place the sculpture wherever you want and turn it on very easily.
Presentation
Anne-Sophie Boulogne is an artist passionate about ceramics for over twenty-five years. She first worked with groggy clays and the raku technique, creating pieces with an ethnic look. Gradually, her artistic exploration has led her to porcelain, a demanding material that allows her to express great finesse in her sculptures.
Her current work focuses on the creation of sculptures and lamps in enameled porcelain, often inspired by the mysterious universe of the abysses. She uses the transparency of porcelain to diffuse a soft and fairy-like light, giving her works a dimension that is both delicate and luminous. The shapes she shapes are frequently geometric and harmonious, embodying, in her view, the beauty present in nature.
Anne-Sophie Boulogne also combines groggy stoneware, with its raw textures, with porcelain to create material contrasts that evoke different facets of nature and symbolize notions such as renewal or the explosion of life. Each piece is unique and entirely handmade, testifying to her commitment to meticulous artisanal work.
A member of the HOMO FABER GUIDE European Artisans Community, supported by the MICHELANGELO Foundation, Anne-Sophie Boulogne places her work in a European context of contemporary craft, where the search for freedom and experimentation is at the heart of her artistic approach.
