Description
This artwork stands out for its bold mastery of abstract visual language. Dominated by a vibrant and contrasting color palette, the composition of this painting immediately catches the eye with its dynamism and originality. The interlocking and intersecting geometric shapes create a sense of movement and energy that seems to leap off the canvas. The skillful use of curved and angular lines blends harmoniously, structuring the space while encouraging a deeper visual exploration. Presentation
Seth One, born in 1977 in Paris, was influenced by the proliferation of tags and graffiti in Paris and its suburbs during the 1980s. He began his graffiti work in the 1990s as part of the STS and CLM groups, actively engaging with the numerous urban surfaces the city offers.
His work on canvas developed later, driven by the desire to approach the dynamics of his letters in a different way than on walls. This process, which he named "Graffolyse," involves the dissolution of the letter, its degradation, giving way to components, ornaments, dynamic forms, and strong lines to create a snapshot of movement.
This transformation is further enriched by various influences such as pop art, primitive arts, and the imagery of 90s skate, surf, and comic culture.
