Biography
Born in 1964, Jérôme Btesh lives in Paris. He produces luminous and intelligent sculptures, sometimes evoking the advertising signage that we are accustomed to seeing.
The artist has set himself the task of rethinking the destiny of useful, profitable industrial objects, by using them for reflexion, which is not useful and free.
His works, which he calls « Light Box » and « Matrices », play with light to reveal a message. The « Matrices » for example, are made up of a steel box, photographic images unique to each work and, thanks to a mirror, letters that reflect and make words appear.
He exhibits in various countries, where he feels very at home and is involved in various movements, for example « Greedy Bastards » , which is a protest to the stock market crash caused by Jérôme Kerviel.
