Biography
Statement :
"I started doing art before I started studying it; therefore, I could see the gap between a natural, creative process and the most likely artificial bubble of art education, art history and so on. Since all of creation is coming from a creative drive, we are not apart from that, thus the fingers on the hand of the creator. Rather than playing around intellectually with exchangeable concepts to impress others, in order to compensate for a lack of self worth and innate love, my whole body of work is an ode to the infinite mystery of creation. Sounds cheesy but, basically, that is my main intention.
My interest and search for the meaning of life, which was fortunately triggered by a decent amount of suffering in my life, led me over different religions, shamanic practices to the oldest and probably highest spiritual teachings from different cultures; all pointing to the same truth, which transcends the individual all together and merges it back with the source of everything. In other words, the wave remembering the sea again. Having found this peaceful, loving state of being, from which right acting springs spontaneously without former mental process or distortion, and whilst living in a disrupted society, my basic intent is to share this energy and state of consciousness with other people.
Since it all has been said already in multiple ways about these topics - and even understood by many minds, intellectually -, the experiential understanding of enlightenment is still rare and also for me hard to maintain but, once tasted, it's hard to forget the nectar of God; again a cheesy phrase, but it actually feels pretty accurate. I assume my paintings and sculptures and other forms of artwork are a means to these states, according to the viewers' receptivity and attention span. It is like a radio show, one that I am sending out so that anyone who tunes fine enough can hear a different melody; at the same time, every listener has their own radio show, for every individual has different filters applied to reality. My whole body of work is untitled because I don't want to distract the viewer with words from the direct experience of the artworks. Words, as a medium of art themselves, can be used in beautiful ways and compositions.
I will use images, paintings, sculptures or any other medium to express this connected state of being, then differently share what I would love for every human being to experience consciously. My goal and intention is nothing less than to channel the highest or deepest truth or energy that I seek. Whilst even my own work and creative processes stay a mystery to me, I can still in the end feel in the results that something was given form by my fingers. A silent mind to a manifestation that feels simply natural and reminds me, intuitively, of a meditative state of consciousness.
Even though some of my works appear to be telling a story, on a subtler level of perception there is always a certain undertone of silence of pure awareness or how one wants to call the pull back to source, creator, God, the universe. Although playful at times, like the animals and flowers of Earth, their fruit springs from an earnest monk like practice of working daily as an artist. Afterall, each one of my artworks is a joy and a mystery for myself to explore and experience. If I know too much about what I am doing, the artwork is a limited concept to me, and thus somehow dead, like a story or a joke once you know its end: it is finished.
I'm constantly chasing the timelessness and mystery of existence in general and how to express that through art. In the end, my intention is to manifest a higher vibration through my works, in order to assist the evolution of human consciousness, so that we can collectively create a healthy and harmonious reality and overcome millennia of human suffering through ignorance of the unity of creation."
