Biography
Adam Sobkiewicz (born 1984 in Poland) creates photographs that are both vintage and contemporary. He achieves this by using 35mm film with a rangefinder camera (bessa r2m), which provides him with an experience that he believes cannot be replicated with digital equipment.
„While working on my photos, I focus on the broadly understood 'here and now'. In an infinitely small space, which is the boundary between 'was' and 'will be'. I try to make my photos as simple as this space because 'now' is like that, but how long and how often do we stay in it? Or when does 'now' start and end?"
