Description
This artwork, a dynamic assemblage of natural textures (pebbles, stone, pine cone, wood, bark, and straw) captures the essence of the earth. It consists of stones of varying hues, ranging from pristine white to subtle gray, arranged in meticulous geometric patterns. At the center, a piece of raw, richly textured wood contrasts with the softness of the surrounding stones, symbolizing the strength and resilience of nature. Each element is carefully chosen for its color and texture, creating an exceptional visual harmony. The work invites reflection on the interaction between natural elements and their complementarity. Through its bold structure and clear symbolism, it inspires the viewer to deeply contemplate the intrinsic beauty of our environment.
Presentation
Mosaics, an art form dating back thousands of years (4000 BC), has crossed the centuries and continents. Its infinite possibilities allow me to express my feelings of the moment.
Playing with materials and textures, colours, shapes and transparency; the infinite play of light on the material and the reflections it produces; diverting materials and using what nature offers us, but also encounters and travels... are all real and inexhaustible sources of inspiration for me, making each a unique piece.
