Description
This captivating work depicts a stylized aerial view of Paris, dominated by a boldly red Eiffel Tower. Simplified geometric shapes and bold colors, such as blue, yellow, and green, create a vibrant, modern ambiance. The Sacré-Cœur tower rises majestically in the background, providing striking scale and contrast. The buildings and streets are depicted with an abstraction that highlights the city's dynamic energy. Pops of green and blue illustrate the parks and waterways, injecting visual freshness into the urban design. The composition reflects a perfect harmony between tradition and modernity, capturing the timeless spirit of Paris with bold artistic modernity. The unusual perspectives invite the viewer to rediscover the capital from a new and captivating perspective.
Presentation
François Boisrond is a French painter born in 1959 in Boulogne-Billancourt. He studied at the National Superior School of Decorative Arts and joined Di Rosa, Combas and Blanchard in the 'Free Figuration" movement. He teaches painting at the School of Fine Arts of Paris since 1999.
In the beginning, François Boisrond evolved into a figurative universe, representing daily life, urban landscapes, portraits and self-portraits in a pure and colorful way. Later on, he revisited the canons of painting and from a digital model, engaged in a work of recomposition of the colorful sprectrum.
Fraçois Boisrond's work have been the object of numerous exhibtions, in particular at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux in 1985, at the Pompidou Center in 2007 and at the Paul Valéry Museum in Sète in 2015.
