Chan

Chan was born in Barcelona in July 1979, son of a humble hardworking family, he started painting graffiti in 1992 influenced by his older brother, the explosion of graffiti that occurred in the early 90s and the need to paint and express his feelings in order to escape from reality.

Since then he has been painting over all kinds of surfaces in different cities in Spain and Europe, and has taken part in various renowned festivals as Kosmopolite and Meeting of Style among others. He has also organized four years of the Graffiti 4 life festival, the Kosmopolis workshop, and worked with organizations such as Swab, Idensitat and La Fura dels Baus.

In 2008 he joined the Mac international group in Paris, and four years later Bad in New York, groups of artists represented by LJDA, Sc, Dts, Nhc, Lds and Bdn.

In recent years, he is bringing on his skills to sculpture, bodypaint, clothes design and art galleries. His influences are old school Graffiti New York and Paris, the current state of the world, the flowing of improvisation, the visual effects of colour and the connection between the art of past cultures to the present and future.
