Botchy-Botchy

Biography
Translation in progress

Born in Bourges (France) in 1972, Botchy-Botchy has always been drawing. He joined painting workshops (nude and oil) in Paris and Amsterdam in the 1990s, then moved to Chicago and to Tokyo in 2004, where he has been living ever since.

After nearly 20 years in international companies, keeping in parallel artistic activities, he dedicates himself completely to art in 2018. He is immediately very successful in Tokyo where his creations are acquired by music producers, marketing companies and merchants.

In 2018, he receives an award from the Japanese designer Gakuin as well as a Nippon Foundation award.

Great admirer of the masters of modern art and of the French masters of comics, he is also very attached to the Japanese underground culture. Botchy-Botchy exhibits in Japan since 2017 with growing success among Japanese collectors and has an impressive number of exhibitions scheduled for 2019.
