Rony

I was born in Toulouse, a city in the south of France close to the mountains and the sea where I very often seek inspiration. After studying interior architecture at the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, I practiced this profession for several years.

But I missed the freedom of painting a lot. About ten years ago I gave up architecture and turned to teaching art, giving myself time to practice my passion. My painting comes from nature and more particularly from water and trees, it is above all an emotion, a feeling. I like to transcribe the calm and tranquility of landscapes.

From a sketch or a photo I set up the composition, the structure of the canvas. Then I completely forget this support and the concert of colors can begin, creating harmonies of colors, contrasts and lights. I leave a place to chance, the canvas gives me the impression of mounting itself, I am only a tool between nature and painting. My writing is both free and structured, perhaps the legacy of my former profession.
