Biography
My background:
After studying Applied Arts in Paris, I worked first in fashion design, then in marketing. At the same time, for 20 years, I discovered sculpture by chance in the workshops of the city of Paris, and then let myself be consumed by it.
The basis of my apprenticeship was the nude, the live model in clay, which I practised for over 30 years. It was during these live model sessions that I learned to Look. After clay, I moved on to plaster, which allowed me to create more dynamic sculptures. This material remains one of my favourites to this day. I went on to study different techniques, bronze, metal, wire, molten glass, moulding... etc Each technique opened up a world of new possibilities that I have seized on.
Themes:
I like to tell stories about the body, which always intrigues me. The magnificent body, not in its exact description, but for what it expresses. For the moving figures presented here, I want to communicate the energy, life and emotions that run through them. In the plaster sculptures of Les Barques suspendues and Père et Fils, I want to convey fragility and delicacy.
