Art is an inner journey where each painting brings with it a square of silence and a reason for our inner warbling to stop.
Biography
About the artist
Born in 1959 in France, Farid SAÂDI began drawing at a very young age. His parents quickly noticed his interest in drawing. Then, barely entering adolescence, it was quite natural that he first turned to gouache and then to oil painting.
He loves to paint but calls himself a draftsman above all because he attaches paramount importance to the quality and accuracy of his line. This is why leaving nothing to chance, he studies perspective in order to deepen his work as it should. He also masters ancient oil painting techniques in order to obtain a refined result by using glazes, successive layers of paint. Working exclusively with only four pigments, both in oil and watercolor, namely yellow ocher, carmine lacquer, burnt umber and ultramarine blue, he thus obtains a whole range of shades that blend perfectly with each other.
Farid's style can be described as realistic, precise and very detailed. He remains deeply inspired by chiaroscuro, which predominates throughout his work.
Farid lives in France but regularly exhibits around the world (Japan, Belgium, France, USA...).
