LeMouvement is a contemporary and urban art gallery composed of various artists coming from different background (painters, graffiti artists, caligraffiti artists, sculptors, illustrators, photographers and art directors). Questioning human relationships in urban space, LeMouvement is focused on diversity and "living together".
The main artists of the gallery, RIKS, TIEZ et ROMANO, created "The Umbrellas Project", very famous participative social project in France, started in Paris four years ago and is still in the making. Uniting people from different origins, cultures or generations under an umbrella, RIKS, TIEZ et ROMANO's work is a mix of realism and poetry using "figuration narrative" and "photographic pasted-up technic".
LEMOUVEMENT is fighting for diversity, living together and spreading good vibes. More than five hundred couples have been pasted up on the walls so far. What started as an illegal artistic project, is now officially recognized by public authorisations and orders from cultural institutions (Minister of Culture and Communication of France, City hall of Paris, French Institute, Nuit Blanche, Emmaüs Solidarité, Région Ile de France...).
For the 5th anniversary of the gallery, LEMOUVEMENT will exhibit some of the artists represented by the crew - RIKS, TIEZ and ROMANO - as well as some special guests - AKIROVITCH & JEREMY BESSET. LEMOUVEMENT supports emerging artists as well as known artists. All of them are coming from the Graffiti. We aim to introduce the public to these exciting and innovative artists in an open and approachable way.
