Artist attached to the community of Ampilatwatja, established in 1999 next to Alice Spring, Rosie Kgwarreye Ross was born in 1951. Like many artists in her community, she does not meet the conventions of dot painting, which makes it distinct from that of other communities. His work, still little known, is much closer to that of batik, prized by the aborigines in the 1970s.
