Biography

Rosen Rashev-Roshpaka was born on February 15, 1970 in Vratsa. In 1989 he graduated from the "Iliya Petrov" High School of Arts in Sofia. He has over 30 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad - Sofia, Plovdiv, Cologne, Belgrade and Jagodina, Serbia. His style is in the traditional naive art style. 

He has won several prestigious awards - the award for creativity of the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Foundation (1994), the Grand Prize for Foreign Author at the Triennial of Naive Art in Jagodina, Serbia (1995), the Grand Prize of the Museum of Naive and Marginal Art, Jagodina, Serbia (2003), UBA Grand Prize at the National Art Exhibition "Botev's Land" (2006). His works are in the Art Gallery "Ivan Funev" in Vratsa, the Museum of Naive Art, Jagodina - Serbia, the Museum of Instinctual Art Bratislava-Slovakia. 

About 50 of his works are owned by the collector of Bulgarian art Hugo Wooten. His works are present in private collections in Bulgaria, Serbia, Germany, France, Israel, USA, Italy, Spain, Japan and Greece, lives and works in Vratsa, Bulgaria.
