Biography

Vero González Ugarte (Santiago, Chile, 1973) is a visual artist living and working between Santiago and Barcelona. Her practice explores nature, landscape, and territory through a material and poetic approach, moving between drawing, printmaking, textile art, and installation.

Working primarily with paper, silk, linen, and copper, she combines traditional and contemporary processes to create layered compositions in which repetition, rhythm, and meticulous handwork transform individual organic elements into larger structures that move between two and three dimensions.

González Ugarte has held more than fifteen solo exhibitions, including (Galería Artespacio, Santiago, 2025), (Galería Sextante, Bogotá, 2023), and (Galería Artespacio, Santiago, 2021). Her work has also been presented internationally at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol and in the context of the Cuenca Biennial in Ecuador.

Her work is held in public and private collections across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and has been commissioned for international spaces including Celebrity Xcel, Boston Children's Hospital, and Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou.
