Juan Pablo Ballester Carmenates (born September 16, 1966 in Camagüey, Cuba) is a Cuban artist. He lives in Barcelona, Spain since 1992. Ballester graduated in 1981 from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA in Havana, Cuba and was a member of the artistic group ABTV (1988–1992). Individual Exhibitions 1986 - "Pinturas abstractas", Galería de la Escuela Nacional de Arte, Havana, Cuba. 1991 - "Juntos y Adelante. Arte, Política y Voluntad de Representación", collateral to the IV Bienal de La Habana, Casa del Joven Creador, Havana, Cuba. Collective Exhibitions "Relevo ISA" Bienal de La Habana, Galería El Pasillo, Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), Havana, Cuba 3rd Bienal de La Habana and 7th Bienal de La Habana, he exhibited "Bienalisa" and "La gente en casa" Other exibitions includes: - Galeria Marta Cevera, Madrid, (1997) - Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo (CAAC), Seville, (2002) - Thomas March Gallery Valencia, (2004) - Museo Pablo Serrano, Zaragoza, (2005).
