Kaouteur Souibgui

Biography

My name is Souibgui Kaouteur, I was born in St-Marcellin on February 26, 1978 and I am a painter who lives and works in Grenoble in Isère (38).

I was originally trained as a German teacher, painting "snatched me up" in its bowels in October 2019, so I gave up teaching to devote myself to it body and soul. (this temptation had been sleeping inside me for a very long time actually). By necessity, it goes without saying that I have no artistic training. I consider myself a pure autodidact, without any particular reference, although I have great admiration for Gustav Klimt or Hans Hartung.

I had the chance to do several exhibitions in France (including 2 in a gallery), one in Corsica (alongside 2 other artists). The latest took place in February 2022 at the Milan cultural center as part of an international contemporary art competition (Malamegi Lab20) where I finished among the 12 finalists.

Through my artistic creations entirely devoted to abstract art, I devote a cult to creation and the power of the imagination and I invite my faithful spectator to touch with their eyes and look with their fingers at my colorful universe.
