Amélie Scotta was born in Nantes in 1983. She lives and works in Paris. She got her Graphic Design DNSEP in 2008 from the École des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg, France.
Between graphic design, narration and documentary collection, Amélie Scotta experiments and combines a variety of contemporary or traditional tools and media in order to question our everyday life. The codes, customs and languages of our societies are often the materials from which she attempts to extract the intrigue, the absurd and the poetry. Drawing, writing and printmaking are at the heart of her approach.
